Die onkeypress-gebeurtenis vind plaas wanneer die gebruiker 'n sleutel (op die sleutelbord) druk.

Wenk: Die volgorde van gebeure wat verband hou met die onkeypress-gebeurtenis:

aapdruk
onkeyup

Let wel: Die onkeypress-gebeurtenis word nie vir alle sleutels (bv. ALT, CTRL, SHIFT, ESC) in alle blaaiers afgevuur nie. Om slegs op te spoor of die gebruiker 'n sleutel gedruk het, gebruik eerder die onkeydown- gebeurtenis, want dit werk vir alle sleutels.
